- The children will learn about past and present means of transport using examples on the use of animals, land, sea, air transport and space.
- Older children will learn factual information about elephants, camels, donkeys, horses and dogs. Such as their habitat, diets, how to take care of the animals’ health and how they are used for transport. As well as learning about road safety and reading simple road signs.
- There will be visits to the train and bus stations.
- Linking this topic with Maths, the children will also learn counting and matching numbers through using dice games and snakes and ladders.
- The focus of activities with the younger age group mainly on mark making such as drawing with cars, balance and slopes using cars, traffic light colours and learning basic shapes with cars
